What is the CVS Health Advocacy Network?

Public policy decisions made in Congress and state legislatures across the country greatly affect our business and the lives those policies touch. The CVS Health Advocacy Network provides colleagues with a platform for engaging with elected officials on issues affecting our company and our customers, patients and clients on a voluntary basis.

What is “grassroots advocacy” and how can I lend my voice to this important effort?

Members of Congress and legislators in states seek to make decisions that best serve their home districts and the needs of their constituents. Nothing is more effective than when a constituent directly tells a Member of Congress or legislator how a proposed law or regulation would affect his or her job, customers, or patients in the real world. Your voice is important, and you can make a difference when you use it to influence the legislative and public policy debate.

Why should I participate in the CVS Health Advocacy Network?

As a CVS Health colleague, you are on the front lines of health care. You have a unique perspective on the health care industry, and lawmakers need to hear from you about policy decisions they are making, especially when they have the potential to impact our ability to deliver personalized, people-centered care. Lawmakers seek out reliable and trusted sources of information as they make key decisions on legislation and public policy. You can be their trusted source.

How do I stay informed about the CVS Health Advocacy Network?

You will receive campaign updates to your CVS Health email address. If you do not receive program updates at your CVS Health email address, email AdvocacyNetwork@CVSHealth.com.

What types of activities can I participate in as an advocate?

  • Sharing your story on the advocacy website
  • Calling your legislator’s district office to advocate for a specific issue

The CVS Health Advocacy Network is a voluntary program. Other colleagues may have signed up for a version of the website that was launched in early 2017. You can opt out of the program by emailing AdvocacyNetwork@CVSHealth.com.
